, is a board-certified general surgeon practicing in Pensacola, Florida. With a background of skills spanning multiple surgical procedures within his discipline, he provides the most up-to-date expertise in surgical care.
A Midwestern native of Indiana, Dr. Stockamp received his bachelor's degree Summa Cum Laude from Hanover College. He earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1984. He went on to complete his surgical residency also at Vanderbilt, and became Chief Surgical Resident in 1992, under the guidance of some of the most recognized and respected surgeons in the U.S. He and his family moved to Pensacola in July of 1993 to join a well-established general surgery practice.
Dr. Stockamp is a Fellow of the , and has been board certified, as well as recently re-certified, by the . Additionally, with a keen interest in clinical research, he is one of a small group of physicians in North America who has achieved the status of a Certified Clinical Research Investigator through the .
Dr. Stockamp has maintained an active role in hospital activities, serving on numerous committees. He has served on several Medical Advisory Panels for healthcare agencies. He is currently a Medical Expert for the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration. He in addition maintains memberships with several professional societies, including:

Dr. Stockamp is presently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Florida State University School of Medicine. He is also the Medical Director of Perioperative Services at Sacred Heart Hospital, and is a past Chief of Surgery at this hospital. In addition, he maintains an active role in clinical research, having been involved in several international, multicenter clinical research studies as a principle investigator in the subject of surgery and medicine.
